Best dive bar in New Orleans
Good lunch spot in the warehouse district
Okay, OMG Melinda makes the best hands down the best $5 long islands in the world!!!! Also $8 for a top shelf, hello New Orleans wake up and save your $$$ and enjoy a drink with good food at Corporation Bar & Grill. I really like this small bar with cheap great drinks and great food, how can you go wrong...you can’t. Try it and enjoy it.
Great place.. good food, strong drinks, friendly staff
After a recent trip to New Orleans for #f r2019 I have to admit this had to be one of my favorite hole in the walls that we visited. If you're at a convention I need a quick lunch had two blocks down and you can get straight into the back get your lunch and a drink and be back in the convention center in under $15 and thirty minutes!
Low key bar with a very vintage vibe. Almost like time forgot about this place. Very cool.
Was good. Thank you
Nice little corner bar a block from the convention center. You would never know it's there if you're not in the area on a regular basis. Had chicken wings and tater tots. Food was nice and hot. Tots were meh. Chicken was seasoned well. Drinks were fabulous! Go there!
I love Nuge!
Food was good & people were very nice.
Amazing food and super friendly service!!
Perfect dive bar in the warehouse district. No frills.
This is our home away from home in NOLA! The staff is friendly and the food is awesome. I had the Alligator Po boy and the gumbo. Well worth the visit. Great place to chat with the locals! Don't be afraid to strke up a conversation.
First time coming here and I was pleased! Yummy food, drink, and awesome customer service.
Shout out from Katy, TX! We were here on 3/8 going on cruise the next day. We had the best time ever! Great bartender!!! We felt like we had been coming here for years. We had planned on staying a few days once back, unfortunately we weren't able to. We will be back as soon as we can and you can bet it will be our 1st stop!
Great place to visit! It's an institution in New Orleans. You must stop in for food and drinks!
Solid Cajun staples in a CBD drive bar atmosphere. Gumbo and red beans are both good. Fried okra was fresh, hot and made to order.
Great food and Service
Great hole in the wall place full of local people with great prices. The beer is cold and the gumbo is hot!
Great Po' Boys.
Small but nice place. Very friendly. Good food. Staff was very helpful to a tourist. Had delicious red beans and rice.
I was referred here by a couple of my colleagues that work in the trade your business. On a recent trip to set up a show, I remembered the corporation bar was right around the corner. The restaurant/bar is your typical small bar with a kitchen in the back. The ladies that work the restaurant are not the most friendly, but then again they have to deal with construction-type guys all day long. I was able to get a smile out of one or two. Don't expect any help with the menu, as they want you to know what you're going to order when you show up. However this is not the Ritz, we don't come here for the polished experience. We come to be fed and they do a great job at this. The food is delicious and comes quickly. I hear the burger is delicious, but I got a shrimp po-boy which was very good and red beans & rice (equally as tasty). The next day I came back and got the Muffalata and it was my favorite thing I ate on the trip.
Nuge is the bestest bartender!
Delicious soft shell crab po boy. It was awesome!
Food was great. Recommended by a local
Went here a few times, as it is located right next to the hotel I was staying at. Fantastic food! The po' boys are amazing, and the gumbo is so damn good! The service is hospitable, and hey, BOOZE! Absolutely wish I was there right now... Don't miss out on the crawfish boil!
Great neighborhood bar/hang out. Owners and patrons very friendly.
Sat at the bar on a Friday at 1pm for 20mins (!!!!) and didn't get greeted or offered a drink. Ridiculous.
Tasty local eats. #NOLA #poboy
Wow. This place was amazing. By the looks of what was left on the table and the smiles on our faces that says it all. The gumbo and the oyster poboy.
A Haiku about the place:When in New OrleansPo Boys, Jambalaya, BossAlligator rocksAs others have stated, if you're near the convention center, this is a place you must visit.Total hole in the wall on a corner a few blocks from the convention center. We sauntered in for lunch and a couple of shared an alligator Po' boy and a sampler of Jambalaya, Red beans n' rice, and Gumbo. All were excellent and the prices were super reasonable for the area. The Jambalaya and Gumbo were exceptional and either is worth getting by themselves. Great folks work here as well - very friendly and definitely down to business. You order in the back, pay at the bar and then find a spot to sit. Word to the wise - grab seats when you come in to make sure you're not kept standing.Definitely a place to hit up to get some good Bayou cooking! Kitchen closes early a number of nights so best to grab lunch here or get it to go.
The bartender Philly Mike was so nice and made great drinks! The music playlist was amazing too!
Food was good. Wish they had a small fries with cheese, but otherwise very happy. Sat with Willie Horton's grandson. Good times.
Every time I come here, it's always a nice escape from work. A little hole in the wall place, but damn good food. Try their gator po' boy. You won't regret the decision
Great local watering hole. Good bar food.
Great, honest people work here. We always like to stay in a new district in New Orleans, we just so happened stay in the warehouse district this time. This place along with the Diamond Street Grill next door were gems in this area. They were both affordable and kind as opposed to the snooty other places around there. Great food and great company.
A great hole in the wall NOLA bar. Food is awesome.
Been there twice in the last 24 hours. It's a dive bar but there's great food and a great drink selection. Good people working there too.
Loved this place! Tasty food and received great service from Crystal. She was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We needed up going back the next day just because we enjoyed it so much!
One of the best kept secrets in the warehouse district... some of the best most reasonably priced PoBoys in the city.
Great food. Convention center circuit bar. Great pricing, staff, and food!!
Up the street from the convention center. Great spot for some local favourites. The name over the door is The Corporation. I've had the roast beef Poboy (delicious but makes a mess if you get it with everything). All the bowls are great! Red Bean and rice is probably my favourite. Gumbo, Jambalaya, all great. It is however a very locals kind of place. I don't want to call it a dive because I don't want to get anyone angry, but by most local dive bar standards, it's a great local dive bar. Don't expect a 5star restaurant. It's a 5 star local dive bar with great local food, good beer selection and the price can't be beat! Definitely my goto place while in town for anything at the convention center.
All kinds of reviews, but not much about the food! Well the food is great. You order from a back counter and they bring it out to you. I had the alligator po boy, and it was very good! It is a very short walk From the convention center. It reminds me of a spot a celebrity would go to blend in with locals. Prices are fair, and they take credit cards.
Soooooooo good! Everything my tummy needed. Inconspicuous place, very close to the convention center; 3-5 min walking actually. Must on your NOLA food list, in my opinion. The only thing, I wish they wouldn't serve food in styrofoam.
The oysters for lunch were the best fried oysters I had while in NO.
Melinda is the BEST!!! Very much a neighborhood bar! A MUST DO! Had the combo plate of jambalaya, gumbo & red beans/ rice...yummy 😋
I loved it I will be going there again
Great food, and I mean great. Awesome staff. Hidden gem!
Excellent bar with an excellent kitchen I have the alligator sausage poor boy really good they didn't tell me it was alligator until I was halfway through it it was so good I can't even believe it thank you Crystal you make a mean sandwich.only problem is I was so hungry that I ate it before I can take a picture of it oh well there's always tomorrow LOLOh and they have my favorite drink red bull in the can with lots of sugar, and a double club soda on the rocks
